Moat Receives Clearance to Track Mobile Ad Viewability
At least one company has been given the green light to track mobile ad viewabilty.
Moat Inc. is one of a handful of third party ad technology firms employed by marketers and Web publishers to track how many of their digital ads can actually been seen by people. Now, the firm has received accreditation from the Media Rating Council, the non-profit entity that helps set the rules for measuring media of all types, to do the same thing for mobile ads.
That means that advertisers and publishers can use Moat’s data and analytics to buy and sell mobile ads–and ensure they are viewable (instead of off screen in places users haven’t scrolled down to).
